Savignac was born in 1969 and initially the company was primarily an exporter. A decade ago, we were prompted by both the building boom in South Africa and the general growing interest in aluminium as a construction material of choice to diversify our focus. We designed a range of locks and handles for aluminium windows and doors, and introduced it to fabricators across South Africa. The rest is history!
Today Savignac has established proudly South African branches in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. We are responsible for the creation and distribution of the Savi EURO hardware brand for aluminium windows and doors throughout Africa.
Savignac is jointly owned by Howard J. Buttery (Chairman of Banc ABC), the Rogers Group in Mauritius and Savignac’s Managing Director Stephanie Harel. The company’s diverse staff include fluent English and French speakers.
